We Have Fun
All Day Long
Regular staff contact and play is incredibly beneficial, so our Guests are taken out several times a day, between the hours of 8am and 9pm.
Single or Group Playtimes
Our Guests can choose whether they'd like to socialise and play with other dogs — or not.
We provide both outdoor and indoor play areas, depending on the weather and your dog's preferences or needs.

Off-Lead Play Areas
Off–lead exercise is the best!
Our Guests come out with us to play, run, amble, make friends (and cuddle!) FOUR times every day.
All activities are completely off-lead and our Guests can enjoy doing their usual home-routine doggy yoga morning stretches in the fresh air, run around, play and have adventures together as much (or as little) as they wish.
Freedom
Our layout is cleverly designed, the sense of freedom is real! We walk out of their rooms together to the gardens and it is ALL off-lead. They already know where they are going and head straight there.
Secure Fencing
We have EIGHT large secure play areas that have 8ft high secure fencing (dug into the ground too), which are surrounded by fields and woodland. Plenty of fresh air!
Play Equipment
Play areas have trees, toys, tyres, hand-made huts and obstacles such as slides and tunnels, bridges, platforms, steps and hide and seek raised boxes.
Some play areas are on flat ground and some with hilly mounds for more vigorous exercise.
We also have an arbour for sit-down cuddles and photo opportunities.
Group Play
For socialiable dogs, we go out together so they can run around with their new friends and make up their own games. It's the best possible exercise they can have.
For sociable dogs, being here is like being at a
Dog Camp & Festival !
Whether it be making new friends, being energetic - running, playing chase or joining in organised games and activities such as frisbee, football or hide the treat and seek with staff, we give our Guests the best time and they thoroughly enjoy themselves.
Our staff will tell you that having the dogs all around them, exercising and playing and having loads of fun - is the best feeling in the world. And they do like to get in a dog cuddle (or 10!) at the same time.
Make New Friends
Single Play
Not all Guests like to socialise with other dogs. Some prefer to play games individually with us and are welcome to choose this option.
Some more senior (or less active) Guests may choose to stroll around and daydream, or have a cuddle with us on the bench and soak up some country air.
Exercise & Play Areas
Outdoor Surfaces
Outside, we have a huge exercise and play areas with a mixture of real grass and artificial grass. During extreme weather, we hose it down to reduce the temperature and cool their paws. Some dogs like to frolic in the water spray, or drink the water direct from the hose (that'll be the Labradors!).

Weather
When It's Hot
Indoors, there are tiled floors and the Bedroom temperature is capped at 16°C. Our indoor rooms have maximum airflow. Industrial fans are kept on day and night to keep the kennels cool with constant airflow. Fresh, cool water is kept topped up.
We exercise the dogs in the cooler times of the day, in the morning and late afternoon. We also stay in the shaded areas under the trees. Play times are kept shorter, but more frequent.
In extremely hot weather, we can play games and provide enrichment activities in their Suites or group play and enrichment activities in the Grand Hallway.
Paddling Pools
Paddling pools and a small swimming pool (large bath-sized) are available in each area to help the dogs keep cool and play in the water.
When It's Raining
We have an Indoor Play Barn available for those rainy days. We can also have group play in the Hallway, if it's torrential.
When It's Cold
We have underfloor heating in the Bedrooms. There are raised beds with snuggly blankets and, of course, all your familiar comfort items from home. Outdoor exercise is adjusted to suit your dog. They soon get to know their way around and have no problem telling us whether they prefer to be indoors or outdoors!
When It's Snowing
For dogs that love snow, we can go out for a roll around on it, or make a snowman (or snowdog) together. We even have video evidence of a snowman's nose being stolen by a carrot-loving dog!
Of course, if snow isn't your thing (talking to the Chihuahuas!) then we can have cuddles and play in your cosy, heated bedroom. Or play games in the Grand Hallway or Indoor Play Barn.
Indoor Play Barn
We have built an enormous Indoor Play Barn, where Guests can play on very cold or wet days. Elderly dogs and hairless breeds will love this - because it won't matter what the weather is doing outside, they will be happy, dry and warm.
We have a selection of toys from balls and ropes, to splash pools for hotter days, and treat balls, to keep active minds on the go.
